Landscape industry Certified - Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) and Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) are individual national certifications administered through the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET). They certify proficiency in business operations and technical ability through a rigorous examination and are upheld by annual continuous education unit requirements. Credential standards are upheld by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. They are the highest credentials available in this industry. Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) Some design work is prepared by Registered Landscape Architects. Registered by the State of Wisconsin, the requirements include a degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited school, a rigorous examination, and continuing education credits. Green Roof Professional (GRP) Individual accreditation through Green Roofs for Healthier Cities. The accreditation involves a rigorous test on a series of four courses demonstrating multidisciplinary knowledge and skills development for green roof development.
